The Leela Mukherjee Artist‑Educator Grant is an annual grant established by the Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation in partnership with the Welham Old Boys’ Society. It seeks to support artists‑educators across India who are developing and running art education projects with school‑aged children (ages 5‑18). Applicants must be Indian citizens or residents, at least 18 years old, and working within the visual arts. The grant offers a stipend of Rs.1 lakh per project, covering up to 12 months of work, and there are three awards each year. Projects should integrate local knowledge and lived environments into learning and teaching methods, and may be carried out in or outside the classroom. Collectives are welcome provided all members meet the eligibility criteria. The application deadline is 30 August 2026. Applicants submit a proposal outlining the project, target group, innovative strategies, expected outcomes, budget, and timeline, and must provide evidence of approval from any partnering school or institution.
