The Center for Native American Youth (CNAY) announces the 9th annual Creative Native Call for Art, a national competition that celebrates the creativity of Indigenous youth ages 5‑24 living in the United States. Artists are asked to respond to the prompt “What does an Indigenous Future look like to you?” and may work in any medium, including painting, drawing, pottery, photography, sculpture, beadwork, jewelry, regalia, silversmithing, and carving. Submissions are accepted online through the CNAY entry form until 11:59 pm EST on 20 December 2026. All entries will be featured in the CNAY Creative Native Gallery and receive national recognition. Each age‑group category (5‑9, 10‑15, 16‑19, 20‑24) awards a $300 prize, and one grand‑prize winner (ages 16‑24) receives $1,000. The competition is free to enter and does not require an application fee. Eligibility is limited to Native American or Indigenous individuals who reside in the United States and meet the age criteria on the deadline. The call is hosted by the Center for Native American Youth, based in Washington, DC, and is part of an annual series, making it a recurring opportunity.
