Mentorship Residency INT is an independent, artist‑run residency hosted by KIAR India (Kala Nirvana) in Bhubaneswar, India. The program invites international artists to participate in a 14‑28 day residency that focuses on professional industry knowledge and mentorship from Ashis Pahi, a seasoned art expert with over 25 years of experience. Applicants are expected to self‑fund the residency fee, which ranges from USD 1,000 to USD 1,500 per person depending on the specific program (abstract art, conceptual art, human anatomy, Indian traditional art, running art residency, or social media & marketing). The residency includes accommodation (private rooms, shared rooms, cabin, rooftop tent), studio and practice spaces (shared art studios, dance/performance rehearsal space, woodworking tools, library, high‑speed Wi‑Fi), common areas, cultural and museum tours, and airport pickup from Bhubaneswar Airport. Applicants must be international artists, including emerging, self‑taught, fine‑arts graduates, mid‑career, or those transitioning from figurative to abstract practice. The application process requires an artist statement, portfolio or online presence, preferred residency dates, and a project proposal. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with a minimum of 40 days’ notice before the selected residency dates. The residency is recurring annually, typically running from December to March each year.
