About This Opportunity

Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead is offering a freelance position as a Green Creative Producer (Young People). The role involves leading the development and delivery of nature‑related programming for young people, including a Green Creative Careers Event in November 2026, as part of the Birds, Bees, Bikes and Trees project. The successful candidate will work closely with Baltic’s Young Producers, partner organisations such as North East Young Dads & Lads and Newcastle University, and will recruit, commission and supervise artists and other practitioners for youth‑focused events. The position is paid at £6,500, covering 26 days at £250 per day, and is expected to run from mid‑August to mid‑December 2026, working 1.5 days per week with occasional weekend work. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and have relevant experience with children and young people, health and safety, and project management.
