The Uncool Artist Residency (UAR) is an online programme designed for visual artists worldwide. Participants join a year‑long residency that runs in weekly group cohorts and monthly one‑to‑one sessions with rotating curators and advisors. The program provides critical curatorial feedback, professional networking, and culminates in a curated solo exhibition in New York City together with sustained representation. No relocation, studio rent or visa logistics are required, making the residency fully remote. Applications are open to visual artists of any nationality, with no stated age or career‑stage restrictions. The deadline for the 2026 edition is Monday, September 28, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
