sƛ̓x̣etkʷ アーティスト・イン・レジデンス・プログラム – 第3期
Spokane Falls Community College
この機会について
Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) invites applications for the third cohort of its sƛ̓x̣etkʷ Artist‑in‑Residence Program. The residency runs from January 5 to March 26 2027 (approximately three months) and is designed for emerging Native American visual artists who are enrolled members of a U.S. federally recognized tribe. Preference is given to artists from Pacific Northwest tribes, especially the Schitsu'umsh (Coeur d'Alene). Selected residents receive a total stipend of $9,000 paid monthly, furnished off‑campus housing, a studio space in the sƛ̓x̣etkʷ Fine and Applied Arts Building, and up to $500 in travel reimbursement. Additional resources include access to fine‑art facilities (ceramics, printmaking, digital art, sculpture), optional mentorship, and opportunities to lead workshops, demonstrations, and community programming with students and the broader Spokane community. Applications are free and must be submitted by October 20 2026. The program aims to support cultural exchange, artistic development, and community engagement while providing artists with dedicated time and resources to advance their practice.
