The Delaplaine Arts Center seeks proposals for solo and small group exhibitions on an ongoing basis. Exhibitions are presented in five galleries across two floors of the historic downtown Frederick, Maryland building, with openings typically held on the first Saturday of each month. Artists submit 6–20 work samples, a bio/CV, an artist statement, and an exhibition proposal. All media are encouraged, but commercially produced prints, giclées, or reproductions of original works are not accepted. The call is open to anyone, regardless of background, training, or nationality. Proposals are reviewed every other month (e.g., July 15 – September 14, 2026) by an Exhibition Selection Panel of artists, art professionals, consultants, and educators, and selected shows are scheduled up to two years in advance. Application fees are $7 for Delaplaine members and $37 for non‑members. Successful applicants receive exhibition space, opening reception support, and the opportunity to present their work to a broad audience.
