Sensing Bodies 2027 – Brazil is a ten‑day cultural retreat and intensive workshop held from 12 to 21 February 2027 in Gamboa, a seaside community near Florianópolis, Brazil. The program brings together artists, dance enthusiasts, cultural workers and anyone inspired by bodies, movement and creative process for a transformative experience that blends folkloric and ancestral dance lineages from Brazil, Africa and Europe with nature‑based exploration and co‑creative artistic practices. Participants receive accommodation (private house, private room or shared room), daily meals, 50 hours of structured program time, and opportunities for networking and free exploration of the surrounding landscape. The event is open to professionals and non‑professionals alike, with no specific eligibility restrictions. Registration is accepted up to four weeks before the event or until spaces are filled, with early‑bird and regular pricing ranging from 1,950 to 3,150 CAD depending on accommodation choice. The retreat offers travel support for participants arriving from outside Brazil, coordinating transport from Florianópolis to Gamboa. The program is led by an international faculty of dance and movement artists, providing training, mentorship and a collaborative environment for creative growth.
