The Residency Program at Spudnik Press invites experienced printmakers to apply for a two‑to‑six‑week studio residency in Chicago. Residents receive 24‑hour access to the 4,800 sq ft print studio, a flat‑file drawer, the ability to reserve equipment, and shared workspace. Light technical support and a thorough orientation are provided, while artists are expected to work independently and make regular use of the facilities. In exchange, residents contribute to the Spudnik community through public programs such as talks, workshops, or exhibitions, and the press retains a portion of the artwork produced to sustain the program. Applicants must be able to commit 2‑6 weeks, arrange their own travel and lodging, and demonstrate sufficient printmaking experience. The application deadline is Sunday, November 1 2026, with finalists selected by November 16 and notifications by December 8. The residency period runs from February 5 to December 31 2027.
