Pump House Regional Arts Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin, invites artists to apply for the 2027‑2028 Gallery Season through its annual Call to Artists. The call opens September 1 2026 and closes January 31 2027. Selected artists will be exhibited in one of the center’s three galleries—Kader, Front, or Balcony—during the season that runs from September 2027 to August 2028. The exhibition lasts approximately six weeks, and artists receive 60 % of sales proceeds, with the Pump House retaining a 40 % commission. The application process is online via the Art Call platform; applicants must submit 3–6 images of their work, a brief statement, and pay a $25 jury fee (waived for current Pump House members). Eligibility criteria include: work created within the past two years, a unified theme, not exhibited within 50 miles of La Crosse in the previous 12 months, not exhibited in the same medium at Pump House in the past five years, and all pieces must be for sale. Artists must be available to deliver and pick up their work. The call is juried by a volunteer committee of artists, educators, and patrons. The Pump House also hosts other events such as the Driftless Ceramics Biennial and Artspire, but this call focuses on gallery exhibition. The call is recurring annually; the next edition will open in September 2028.
