イースト・ロンドン・アート・プライズ 2027

The East London Art Prize (ELAP) is a biennial, all‑media art prize that celebrates the talent and diversity of artists based in East London. Run by affordable studio provider Bow Arts and supported by partners such as the British Council, Dulux, The Line and Minerva, the prize supports a cohort of twelve shortlisted artists with career‑development grants, mentoring, training and paid opportunities. From this cohort two further awards are given: an exhibition prize of £15,000 cash together with a solo exhibition at Bow Arts’ Nunnery Gallery, and a residency prize of one year of free studio space at a Bow Arts site. The 2027 edition opened on 14 May 2026 and closes at midday on Monday 17 August 2026. Applications are submitted via the Zealous platform (link below). Eligible artists must live or work in one of the listed East London boroughs (Barking & Dagenham, Bexley, City of London, Greenwich, Hackney, Havering, Islington, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Redbridge, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest), hold an arts degree or equivalent qualification, and may submit a single artwork (collectives and joint submissions are accepted). The entry fee is £10 per submission, with a £7 concession for students, JSA recipients and over‑65s. Winners are announced after the shortlist exhibition, with the exhibition winner’s show scheduled for spring 2028. The prize provides significant exposure, financial support and studio space, making it a major opportunity for emerging and mid‑career artists in the region.
