The International Visegrad Fund’s Performing Artist Residency supports contemporary theatre and dance projects that are experimental and innovative. Open for applications from 15 September 2026, the call invites individual artists or groups (minimum three members) who are citizens of one of the V4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) and are at least 18 years old. The residency must take place in a V4 country different from the applicant’s citizenship and residence, and the project must be a new work – finished productions, stone theatres or festivals are excluded. Each residency lasts one month and is funded with €2,500 for the individual artist (or €5,500 for a group) together with a contribution to the host institution. Applicants must submit an online application via the My Visegrad portal by 12:00 PM on 25 October 2026, including an ID copy, portfolio with performance video links, and a letter of acceptance from the host organisation. The programme offers studio space, a stipend, mentorship, and the possibility to present the work at the host venue. Results are announced 20 December 2026 and the project starts on 10 January 2027. The call is part of an annual cycle, with the next edition opening in September 2027.

Applicants must be citizens of a V4 country (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia), aged 18+, and the residency must be hosted in a different V4 country. Both individuals and groups (3+ artists) may apply; each applicant may receive support once per calendar year.
