The Art Media grant, offered by the Mondriaan Fund, aims to stimulate engagement with and discourse around contemporary visual art in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. It is open to platforms such as (online) magazines and other public media, as well as to individuals working as curators, critics, social content creators or journalists. Applicants may propose written or spoken‑word projects – for example a series of articles, long‑reads, or podcasts – to be published on online magazines, newspapers, social media channels or other public platforms. The amount awarded is determined per application, based on the submitted budget, with a maximum of €2,480 per month for a standard grant (duration 1–6 months) or a flexible grant up to 12 months, covering up to 70 % of eligible expenses. Applications are accepted twice a year, with the next deadline on 15 October 2026 (16:00 Dutch time). The application process is conducted through the Mondriaan Fund’s online system and requires a detailed work plan, CV, documentation of previous work, and, for organisations, additional organisational information. The grant does not cover regular activities, television or film productions, or portrait projects, and applicants must comply with Fair Pay guidelines.

The applicant is expected to comply with the requirements regarding Fair Pay. Other parties working on the project who are included in the budget therefore must also receive remuneration in line with the applicable collective labour agreements or guidelines.
