Open Kerminy
この機会について
Open Kerminy is a self‑managed, non‑commercial, non‑profit residency located at the Château de Kerminy in Brittany, France. The site offers a rural heritage setting with a botanical park, an experimental market garden, and a seasonal art trail. It welcomes artists, researchers, writers, and practitioners across a wide range of disciplines—including visual arts, music, sound art, performance, writing, philosophy, bodily practices, artistic research, environmental sciences, and open‑source technologies. The residency is open to adults who are professionals or semi‑professionals and who can work autonomously. There is no formal application process, no portfolio or project proposal required, and no obligation to produce or present work. Applicants simply submit a clear request with dates, number of people, and type of stay. The place provides accommodation (single‑room bedrooms), shared living spaces, multiple workspaces, sound‑friendly rooms, a library, kitchen, garden and agro‑ecological plots, and shared workshops in former stables. Residents are expected to participate in collective maintenance and to respect the shared rules. The residency runs seasonally from April to October, with the busiest period from June to September. The daily contribution is €20 per person, plus an annual membership fee of €12. The residency is open on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadline.
