The Creative Industries Fund NL (CIFF) is the national cultural fund for design, architecture and digital culture in the Netherlands. Its 2026 Open Call Fresh Perspectives seeks cross‑sector collaboration projects that offer new perspectives on current social, political and economic challenges—including climate, housing, polarization, migration and inequality of opportunity. Eligible applicants are designers, architects and makers who have run their own practice for at least four years, as well as collectives and duos. Each proposal must include a partner from outside the creative industry—such as a knowledge institution, archive, lab, platform, local initiative or public sector body—that has proven experience in the central social theme. The call is divided into two phases: Phase 1 (December 2026–April 2027) offers €10,000 per project for a 5‑month startup period to develop the concept and prototype; Phase 2 (September 2027–August 2028) offers €50,000 per project for a 12‑month implementation period, contingent on successful completion of Phase 1. Applications are assessed by an independent advisory committee against criteria such as the approach to the social challenge, artistic‑substantive quality, and the effectiveness of the collaboration. The grant is awarded through the CIFF’s standard grant scheme, with full funding paid in one go for Phase 1 and an 80 % advance for Phase 2. The call is open to the Netherlands and is announced on CIFF’s website and application platform.

Financial support (up to €10,000 Phase 1, €50,000 Phase 2), mentorship, development phase, possible exhibition.

Designers, architects, makers and observers with at least three/four years of professional practice; individuals, duos or collectives may apply.
