グリーンヒルズ・アート・センター アーティスト・イン・レジデンス

The Greenhills Art Centre, located in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia near York, runs an artist‑in‑residence programme each year from April to November. The residency offers artists a self‑directed creative retreat of up to four weeks, with flexible start and end dates. Residents stay in one of eight period‑feature guest bedrooms, each equipped with queen‑size beds and linen, and enjoy full board – continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner – prepared in the on‑site commercial kitchen. The centre provides 24‑hour access to a 250 sqm air‑conditioned studio equipped with easels, workstations, a print press, and other facilities, as well as free Wi‑Fi, laundry, and communal lounge and dining areas. Additional support includes an on‑site framer, fine‑art printing at reduced rates, and optional day trips to local galleries and attractions. While there is no mandatory output or exhibition, residents are encouraged to engage with fellow artists and the broader community. Applications are open to all creative disciplines, from visual arts to design and writing, and welcome amateur, mid‑career, and established practitioners. The application process is conducted via an online form on the centre’s website; there is no entry fee, but accepted residents must pay a 20 % deposit to secure their place, with the balance due 90 days before the start date. The programme does not offer a monetary stipend, but provides accommodation, meals, studio access, and various artistic resources to support the resident’s practice.
