この機会について

The Impart & Nalli Fellowships, a partnership between the heritage textile brand Nalli Silks and the online platform Impart, invite applications for the 2027–28 cycle. Two fellowships will be awarded, each providing a grant of INR 5.5 lakhs to fund one year of independent research and project development focused on under‑explored textile histories, practices, and traditions across South Asia. Eligible applicants are aged 18 or older, reside anywhere in the world, and may be early‑ or mid‑career researchers, designers, archivists, journalists, writers, educators, practitioners, collectives, or small organisations. Projects can cover a wide range of formats—including journalistic inquiry, documentary film, archive activation, practice‑based research, digitisation, exhibitions, or book projects—and must engage with textile practices across the South Asian region. The fellowship supports travel, fieldwork, documentation, and other project costs subject to approval. Applications open on 3 July 2026 and close on 31 August 2026. The selected fellows will be notified in December 2026, and the fellowship period runs from January to December 2027. Applicants submit a comprehensive proposal via a Google Form, including a CV, work samples, and optional letters of support. The fellowship requires a project report, a research dossier, and a set of final outputs, all to be made publicly accessible. The program is open to all disciplines within the textile field and encourages interdisciplinary and collaborative projects.
