Hektor is a safe space on the inspiring island of Lanzarote for artists, activists, guests, and friends. For 2027, the core focus is planet‑driven art, and the residency invites creators passionate about making a change, reducing environmental impact, and fostering a more beautiful world. Over the years, Hektor has welcomed more than 65 artists from 16 countries, including Tanja Haramincic, Stefaan De Croock, Sonia Rentsch, and others. The residency offers private 30‑40 m² suites equipped with kitchenette, dining area, en‑suite bathroom, double bed, and decor from the Hektor collection. Residents also gain access to a shared workshop (taller) with an extra kitchen, a pool, a picking garden, 13,500 m² of farmland, an animal kingdom (Auchón), and a physical and online library. The program encourages residents to leave their daily work at home, reduce screen time, and enjoy farm life, with weekly invitations to work on the land. All residents must eat only vegetarian food on site. The stay is flexible, ranging from two weeks to as long as the artist wishes, with 25 spots available for 2027. Application opens in June 2027, with first selections in August. Applicants must submit a portfolio or Soundcloud link, acknowledge Hektor in all media, and provide a dedicated webpage. The residency provides accommodation, workspace, and vegan meals, but does not require work donations. Discounts are available for under‑30 artists and activism projects. The program is open to all disciplines and offers a supportive, collaborative environment for planet‑driven art.
