この機会について

The Camargo Fellowship 2027‑2028 is a flagship research residency hosted by the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, a picturesque Provençal town on the Mediterranean coast. The program spans ten weeks, providing a stipend of €350 per week (total €3,500) and covering basic transportation to and from Cassis. Participants enjoy free, furnished accommodation in the Foundation’s 12‑apartment campus, as well as access to a library, music and conference rooms, an open‑air theatre, and specialist studios for darkroom and piano work. While the Foundation does not supply art materials or technical equipment, the residency’s focus is on research, experimentation, and interdisciplinary dialogue rather than large‑scale production.

Eligibility is defined across three categories: artists with at least five years of practice and a mature, research‑oriented body of work; scholars holding a PhD or in the final stages of a PhD; and thinkers—curators, journalists, critics, urban planners, and other cultural professionals engaged in critical practice. Artists must identify within one of the sub‑categories (visual arts, choreography, theatre, performance, writing, film/video, digital arts, music, or multidisciplinary work). The selection process is cohort‑driven, with an annual call that opens in July 2026 and closes on 1 October 2026. Applications are submitted through the Foundation’s online portal or via email at contact@camargofoundation.org.

The Fellowship fosters a collaborative environment, encouraging exchanges among residents and with the broader community. Participants are expected to share their work and findings with the Foundation, ensuring that outcomes are credited appropriately. The program is ideal for artists and scholars seeking a sustained, research‑focused residency in a supportive, Mediterranean setting.
