Elephant Vision Lab
この機会について
Drift Work is a call for emerging artists, current students and recent graduates to submit works that interrogate coastal environments through material, memory and transformation. The exhibition, hosted by the London‑based artist duo Elephant Vision Lab, will take place in Brighton’s Gallery 19a, Hollingdean Terrace, from 3 September to 13 September 2026. Artists are encouraged to respond to marine and coastal life, erosion, tidal movement, salvage, wreckage and the objects the sea returns, and to consider the shoreline as a living archive where natural forces, human histories and more‑than‑human worlds intersect. All disciplines are welcome, with a particular interest in local Brighton artists. The call is open to all emerging artists; no age or nationality restrictions are listed. The submission fee is £12 for a single entry and £20 for two entries, payable online via credit or debit card. Selected artists will receive technical assistance with installation and deinstallation, a social event and networking opportunities, a digital letter of participation, documentation of their work, promotional material and social media coverage. Artists are responsible for transport and insurance of their work. The deadline for submissions is 27 August 2026 at 23:59. The call is not recurring or rolling; it is a one‑time edition for 2026.
