The Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture at Columbia University seeks a recent doctoral recipient to join its intellectual community as a Buell Center Research and Teaching Fellow for a 21‑month period (two academic years plus an intervening summer). Fellows will reside at Columbia for two academic years, with an optional summer stay, and will teach at least one semester in the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) survey course “Questions in Architectural History,” with the possibility of proposing an additional course. The fellowship provides research support, mentorship, and co‑hosting by the Society of Fellows and Heyman Center for the Humanities, as well as access to Buell Center programming, workshops, and publications. Applicants must hold a PhD in Architecture or a related discipline awarded between September 1 2024 and September 1 2027, demonstrating an interdisciplinary research agenda in the built environment.
