Berlin Fashion Week is calling for African fashion labels to apply for funding to showcase their collections during the 2027 Berlin Fashion Week (29 January – 1 February 2027). The competition offers up to 19 grants of €25,000 each to selected labels, with at least twelve awarded to German or Berlin‑based applicants and up to six to international labels. One African winner will receive additional support for show production, guest management, PR, and invitations. Eligible labels must be registered in an African country, employ fewer than 30 people, present a physical collection of at least 15 looks aimed at professional industry visitors, and demonstrate a clear sustainability and inclusion approach. Applicants must submit a realistic budget, financing plan, and complete the sustainability questionnaire. The grant does not cover travel, shipping, or customs costs, which the label must cover. The application deadline is 5 October 2026, and the competition is held annually.
