ARTservancy 2027–2028

ARTservancy 2027–2028 is a year‑long residency program hosted by Gallery 224 in Port Washington, Wisconsin. The program invites artists working in a variety of media and disciplines to engage with protected natural areas and conservation partners, providing time and space to observe, explore, and create work inspired by the land. Selected artists will spend 2027 at an assigned conservancy site, developing a body of work that will be exhibited at Gallery 224 in 2028. The residency includes studio space, periodic check‑ins, site visits, artist talks, workshops, and mentorship from Gallery 224 staff and conservation partners. Participants are expected to visit and engage with their site throughout 2027, develop a cohesive body of work, and participate in a curated exhibition and artist reception in 2028. The program offers opportunities for artwork to be offered for sale as part of the culminating exhibition. Applications are open through October 31, 2026, and require an online application form, five images of recent artwork, a short artist bio (≤150 words), a résumé or CV, and a $40 application fee paid via PayPal or check. The residency is not open to student artists. The program is recurring annually, with the next cohort beginning in 2027.
