Community Engagement
この機会について
The Community Engagement organization offers the Artists & Creatives Grants, a recurring funding program that supports independent artists, collectives, and collaborators who create or present work that encourages community engagement. Grants are awarded in two annual cycles: a fall cycle (deadline September) limited to artists living or working in California, and a spring cycle (deadline March) open to artists living or working anywhere in the United States. The program explicitly encourages applications from historically excluded groups, including Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Trans, Deaf, Disabled, Immigrant or Refugee, and Self‑Taught artists. Each award provides up to $2,500 in financial support to help artists develop, produce, or present their community‑focused projects. Applicants are required to submit a portfolio or project proposal that demonstrates how their work engages community audiences or fosters community collaboration. The application process is free of charge, and the organization does not provide housing or travel support. The grants are not residency‑based; they are purely financial awards.
The next grant cycle will close on March 15, 2027, and the organization invites artists to apply through its online application portal. The program is part of Community Engagement’s broader mission to amplify community‑driven art and to support artists who challenge conventional practices and bring new, imaginative possibilities to public spaces.
