Women Artists in Residence Foundation, founded by sculptor Franziska Seifert and her husband Tim Cordts, offers a charitable residency program for female artists at their house on Inselstraße, Schwanenwerder, Berlin. The historic house, renovated in 2023, provides private, rent‑free accommodation and large working areas with an open kitchen, a conservatory, and storage rooms. Residents receive a monthly public‑transport ticket, a bicycle for local travel, and free parking. The residency duration ranges from two to ten months, and artists can work on projects of their choice. Applications are informal and must include a CV, artistic profile, recent work (last three years), and a motivation letter, and are submitted by e‑mail to the foundation. The program is open to female artists of all disciplines except graphics and applied arts, with no age limit, provided their training or studies are completed. The next application deadline is 30 November 2027 for the 2029/2030 residency cycle.
