2025/2026年度レジデンシー募集｜アーティスト・コミュニティーズ・アライアンス

The Kala Artist‑in‑Residence (AIR) program, run by the non‑profit Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California, provides artists with 24‑hour access to an 8,000‑sq‑ft print studio, digital lab, black‑and‑white darkroom, sculpture and textiles lab (including wood shop, kiln and slab roller), individual storage space and the Kala Gallery for possible exhibitions. Participants receive professional‑development resources such as classes and mentorship, and artists coming from outside the San Francisco Bay Area are offered two shared artist apartments with a private bedroom and shared kitchen, living room and bathroom. The subsidized AIR residency lasts 2–3.5 weeks, while the competitive Fellowship residency lasts 6–12 months and includes a $3,000 stipend and one month of housing. Applications are accepted online; the next open call closes on March 1 2027 (annual deadline). Selection is based on artistic and conceptual strength, relevance to Kala’s facilities, and a portfolio of work in the offered media.

24/7 access to a shared 8,000-square-foot Print Studio, equipment, digital lab, sculpture lab, black and white darkroom, and 3 individual artist project spaces (150-400 sq feet available to visiting artists)
