ALT: 記念撮影ギャラリー

Photo Opp invites photographers and visual artists to submit up to three experimental works for its ALT: A Photo Opp Gallery exhibition and fundraiser taking place in October 2026. The call welcomes alternative processes such as cyanotypes, salt prints, film soup, digital manipulation, sculptural photography, emulsion lifting, collage, and any other approach that challenges conventional notions of the photograph. Submissions are free of charge and open to artists of any nationality or career stage, provided the work fits within the broad definition of photographic media. Selected pieces will be shown in the gallery space in Appleton, Wisconsin, and may also be featured in a promotional zine and online promotion. The exhibition aims to spark curiosity, encourage process over perfection, and expand the boundaries of photographic practice. Applications open on July 3, 2026 and close on August 10, 2026 at 11:59 pm CST. Artists will be notified by August 24, 2026, with the opening reception scheduled for October 16, 2026.
