The PleinAir Salon Online Art Competition is a monthly and annual online art contest hosted by Streamline Publishing, Inc. Artists worldwide can submit original 2D paintings or drawings for a chance to win cash prizes totaling $65,000, including a $15,000 grand prize that also grants a feature on the cover of PleinAir or Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. The competition runs in monthly cycles from April to February each year, with an annual competition that aggregates the monthly winners and awards additional prizes. Entry fees apply: early‑bird entries (first entry $29, subsequent entries $12) are available until the 15th of each month; regular entries (first entry $40, subsequent entries $16) apply thereafter. Artists must submit original work, not based on photographs or other artists’ work, and must be 100% painted by the artist. Employees of Streamline Publishing and their immediate families are ineligible. Winners are announced at the end of each month and the annual awards are announced in May. The competition is fully online, with no travel or housing support provided.

Must be 18+; open to residents of any state/country where legal; paintings only (no photography, AI, digital alterations); original work painted by the artist; no group workshop pieces; entry fees apply per category.
