The Fondation Jacques Rougerie – Académie des Beaux‑Arts announces the 2026 edition of its International Architecture and Innovation Competition, a global call that encourages bold, interdisciplinary projects addressing three challenging realms: flood‑prone lands, marine and submarine environments, and space. Participants are invited to design new living environments that harmonise with extreme conditions, prioritising adaptability, sustainability, and resilience. The competition is open to architects, designers, engineers, artists, and urban planners worldwide, with no age or nationality restrictions. Entries must be submitted through the Foundation’s online application platform (deadline 24 September 2026, 21:59 UTC). The application is free of charge. Selected projects will receive Grand Prix awards in the categories Flood‑prone lands, Space, and Sea; the prizes are honorary and include public exhibition and recognition at the Foundation’s award ceremony. The competition does not provide studio space, housing, or travel support. It is an annual recurring event, with the next edition scheduled for 2027.
