The WRG Digital Call-Out: Generation Xi is an open competition hosted by White Rabbit Gallery that invites emerging artists and designers (18+) to respond to the theme of Generation Xi – a generation shaped by rapid technological change in China. Applicants are asked to create a digital artwork or animation inspired by the ‘New Ugly’ design movement, to be featured on the Gallery’s website landing page for five months. The call runs from 27 July 2026 (9 am) to 14 September 2026 (5 pm) AEST. Winners receive a $2,000 AUD prize, five‑month website exposure, promotion through the Gallery’s social channels, professional mentorship and guidance from the creative studio Spring in Alaska, and a permanent entry in the WRG Digital Archive. The competition offers a development period (28 Sep – 2 Nov 2026) for the selected artist to refine the work with the Gallery’s team. The initiative aims to support early‑career creatives, encouraging diversity and inclusion, and is open to domestic and international applicants, including First Nations, artists with disabilities, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and LGBTIQA+ artists. No entry fee is required.
