The Verdancy Project and Verdant Publishing invite submissions for What I Meant to Tell You, a participatory anthology of gratitude and apologies addressed to any element of the natural world. Writers, artists, and anyone can submit a handwritten or typed letter, optionally illustrated, to be mailed to the project’s address in Troutdale, Oregon. Submissions must be postmarked by October 9 2026 and accompanied by a digital permission form. All entries will be included in the project’s public online archive; a curated selection will appear in the printed anthology scheduled for publication in February 2027, and those selected will receive a complimentary digital copy. The call is open to contributors of all ages and locations, with non‑English submissions requiring an English translation and participants under 18 needing a guardian signature. No entry fee is required.
