Glasgow Life, in partnership with Creative Scotland, is offering the Visual Artist and Craft Makers Awards for the 2026/27 cycle. The awards provide fixed bursaries of £500 or £1,000 to individual visual artists and craft makers based or resident in Glasgow. Applicants must be practising artists or makers who can demonstrate relevant experience and a commitment to the development of their practice. The bursaries are intended to support creative and professional development, and applicants may also request support for personal access costs. There are two funding rounds: an Autumn round closing on 20 October 2026 at 5:00 pm, and a Winter round closing on 2 February 2027 at 5:00 pm. Applications are submitted by email and must include the VACMA application form, guidance, equalities monitoring form, and artist checklist. The awards are free to apply for, with no application fee. The bursary amounts are £500 or £1,000, and the awards are not competitive; they are awarded based on the merits of the application and the suitability of the proposed activity.
