Vetrate artistiche toscane

Vetrate Artistiche Toscane (VAT) is a family‑run studio in Siena that has produced stained‑glass and mosaic works for churches, public buildings and private commissions since 1987. The residency invites artists to work in a fully equipped studio, learning and applying techniques such as glass cutting, leading, soldering, fusing, painting and kiln operation. Participants can pursue a two‑month apprenticeship (January–February) or a longer residency, receiving a stipend of 500 EUR per month. Accommodation is provided in a shared apartment in Siena, with monthly costs ranging from 400 to 550 EUR. The program emphasizes hands‑on creation, design consultation, restoration, and educational outreach, making it ideal for artists interested in both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary glass art. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no entry fee, and applicants are encouraged to submit a portfolio and CV.
