AADK Spain
Informazioni su Questa Opportunità
Simpoiesis (from the Greek sún, “with,” and poiesis, “creation”) is a situated residency program organized by AADK Spain. Running from January to December 2027, the residency invites artists and researchers to develop projects that engage with the concept of sympoiesis – collaborative creation with non‑human beings and ecosystems. Applicants may work across any artistic discipline, including sound, sculpture, biomaterials, and technology, and are encouraged to address themes such as eco‑acoustics, more‑than‑human communities, and politics of care. The program offers a private apartment for accommodation, shared work and exhibition spaces, access to technical equipment, mentoring, curatorial guidance, documentation and visibility support, as well as coffee and communal facilities. Stays can range from one to six months, with a recommended minimum of two months. The call is open to international artists and researchers aged 18 or over, with a particular encouragement for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ applicants. Applications close on 15 November 2026, and the selection process includes a letter of invitation that can be used to apply for additional grant support. The residency takes place in the village of Blanca, Murcia, Spain, at the Centro Negra, providing a rural setting that fosters dialogue between art and landscape.
