PhotoPlace Gallery is calling for photographs that capture the richness, complexity, and diversity of human life for its upcoming juried exhibition, "The Human Experience." The call welcomes a wide range of photographic styles—including portraits, street photography, documentary, and conceptual work—focused on people, places, and the traces of human presence. Submissions open on September 7, 2026 and close on October 5, 2026, with a submission fee of $39 for the first five images and $6 for each additional image. There is no limit to the number of images an artist may submit, but fully AI‑generated images are not permitted. The juror, Meredith Fleischer, will select up to 35 images for the physical exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, Vermont, and an additional 40 images for an online gallery. Selected works will be reproduced in an exhibition catalog, permanently archived on the gallery’s website, and promoted through the gallery’s social media channels. All selected artists are eligible for exhibition awards. The exhibition runs from December 4 to December 26, 2026.
