Informazioni su Questa Opportunità

The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant program is intended to provide interim financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen, catastrophic incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation. Each grant is given as one-time assistance for a specific emergency, such as fire, flood, or emergency medical need. The program has no deadlines and operates on a rolling basis. The maximum amount of this grant is $15,000; an award of $5,000 is typical. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of ten years of mature work in their discipline and must be physically unable to communicate with the Foundation if a second‑party request is made. The Foundation reviews applications on a case‑by‑case basis, with a typical review period of about four weeks from receipt of a complete application. Situations with imminent deadlines receive priority. The program does not cover general indebtedness or lack of employment, nor does it consider dental work, chronic situations, or capital improvements. The application is free to submit via Submittable, and the Foundation provides no non‑monetary resources such as studio or travel support.
