The Summer Intensive: The Art of Puppetry is a four‑day immersive workshop held August 16th–19th 2026 at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Participants work in studio hours from 7 AM to midnight, moving from raw materials to finished puppet characters and present a live showcase on the final day. Four specialized tracks are offered – Giant Puppets, Trash‑to‑Puppets, Shadow Puppetry, and Hand‑Operated Puppets – each led by professional artists. Tuition is $506 USD; housing and meals are optional and available for an additional cost. Materials fees are charged at the end of the workshop.
