Informazioni su Questa Opportunità

Storytellers – Regional Pathways Program is a new paid creative development pathway run by Byron Theatre Company to support theatre‑makers based in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. The program is open to original live performance work, including new plays, devised, physical, contemporary and interdisciplinary performance. Teams of two to five artists may apply, provided the lead applicant has lived in the Northern Rivers for at least the past twelve months and the majority of the team resides in the region. Emerging, mid‑career and established practitioners are all eligible.\n\nThe program runs in two stages. Stage 1 is a three‑day Development Lab held at Byron Theatre in January 2027, during which four selected projects receive intensive creative development, mentorship from experienced practitioners, dedicated time to test ideas, professional photography and an $800 cash contribution.\n\nFollowing the Lab, up to two projects may be invited to Stage 2 – a five‑day Project Residency in February or April 2027. Residents receive continued mentorship, technical support, professional photography, an opportunity to present a work‑in‑progress to an invited audience and a $2,500 cash contribution.\n\nApplications open on 21 September 2026 and close on 1 November 2026 at 6 pm AEDT. All submissions are made through an online Expression of Interest form, with guidelines and terms available via linked PDFs.
