The Recording/Release Grant is a Danish cultural funding program run by Koda Kultur that aims to support the professional production and release of newly created music. The grant is open to all members of Koda and is intended for projects that have not yet been published. Funding can be used for a wide range of production costs, including studio recording, mixing, mastering, studio rental, musician and producer fees, and the manufacturing of physical copies such as CDs and vinyl. Grants range from DKK 10,000 to DKK 50,000, and the application process is free of charge. Applicants must submit a concise project description, audio samples, and a detailed budget. The grant is awarded by a committee and the decision is communicated approximately three months after the deadline. The program is recurring, with three application deadlines each year (January, May, September). The next deadline is 17 September 2026 at 15:00. The grant is part of Koda Kultur’s broader effort to strengthen Denmark’s music scene by providing financial support to composers, songwriters, and other music creators.
