Informazioni su Questa Opportunità

The Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, invites artists worldwide to participate in its Mentoring Artist‑in‑Residence Program. The three‑week residency is tuition‑free; artists pay only room and board, with scholarships available to reduce the fee. Each residency cohort is led by a “Mentoring Artist” from a different discipline—visual arts, architecture, music, literature, choreography, dance, performance art, or theater—who designs the program’s structure. Associate Artists are selected by the Mentoring Artist and may include up to eight participants. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, offering formal classes, discussions, critiques, studio time, and access to the award‑winning Leeper Studio Complex, which houses painting, sculpture, digital media, dance, music/recording, writing, and theater spaces. Residents receive private housing on campus, all meals, and a supportive environment that encourages experimentation and cross‑fertilization of ideas. The residency is open to artists of any career stage, over 21 years old, who can communicate in English. Applications are accepted online via Submittable and must include a brief bio, CV, three to five creative work samples, an artist statement, a short reflection on a current national issue, and a statement of commitment to collaboration. The deadline for the 2026 cohort is September 14, 2026.
