The Parehuia Artist Residency – Offshore Pathways is a 6‑week residency for mid‑career visual artists based in New Zealand. The residency, offered by McCahon House in partnership with Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa, provides a fully furnished two‑bedroom house and studio at Parehuia, a monthly stipend, and a bespoke programme of international connections and mentorship. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, be able to reside full‑time at Parehuia during the residency, and be at a mid‑career stage with a substantial body of work and an established international practice. The call is open to visual artists across disciplines, and the selection panel includes gallery directors, curators, critics, and academics. Applications close on 28 October 2026, with successful applicants notified in early December. The residency is scheduled for 13 September–24 October 2027, with dates to be confirmed upon selection.
