WORKSHOP: Raccontare la propria storia attraverso il teatro dei burattini

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Rough House Theater (in partnership with Agitator Artist Collective) will host a three‑hour participatory workshop titled “Telling Your Own Story Through Puppetry.” Led by puppeteer and teaching artist Samuel J. Lewis and artist/puppeteer Lindsey Ball, the workshop guides participants from initial inspiration to a concrete first stage of creation. Through reflection, conversation, hands‑on experimentation, and examples from the facilitators’ practices, participants explore personal experience, research, imagination, materials, movement, sound, and various puppetry forms. No prior puppetry experience is required. Attendees leave with a clearer story concept, a possible puppetry approach, a small creative experiment, community resource connections, and a practical next‑step plan.
