BKF, in collaboration with Hjørring Municipality, announces an open call for professional artists to create site‑specific works that activate public spaces and strengthen local identity. Two locations are offered: Strømgade in Hjørring and the area around Gøgsigs Pakhus in Sindal. Artists may propose concepts for vertical, horizontal, or mixed‑media interventions on surfaces such as sidewalks, facades, or lampposts. The selected artist for each location will receive a fee (90,000 DKK for Sindal, 180,000 DKK for Hjørring) covering artist remuneration, materials, production, transportation and related expenses. Applications must include a half‑page concept description, CV and project budget, and can be submitted for one or both locations. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, 17 November 2026 at 12:00 noon. Selected artists will be appointed by the end of 2026 and expected to produce and inaugurate the work in the first half of 2027.
