Bando pubblico - 19ª Biennale di Istanbul

The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) launches the Open Call for the 19th Istanbul Biennial, themed “Wind and Rain from All Directions”. The call seeks artistic projects that reflect on war, conflict and peace, encouraging critical and caring perspectives. Artists of any discipline, based in Turkey or abroad, may apply individually or as collectives, provided they are over 18 and submit their proposals in English or Turkish. Submissions consist of a project proposal (max 3,500 characters, ≤10 MB) and a portfolio (≤100 MB) uploaded via the SlideRoom platform. The deadline is 23:59 on 22 November 2026 (Istanbul time, UTC+3). Selected artists will be invited for further conversations and, if chosen, will receive an honorarium along with travel, shipping and production support to realize their projects within the Biennial exhibition. The call is part of the biennial’s ongoing research process and will be evaluated by the curators Liu Ding and Carol Yinghua Lu, with results announced in February 2027. No application fee is required.
