No.name Studio is an artist residency located in the historic water town of Zhujiajiao, Shanghai. Founded by artists Carlo Maria Rossi and Penny Kwan, the program welcomes visual artists working in any medium and from any background. Residencies last from one to three months, beginning on the first day of any month, and culminate in an open‑studio exhibition and a solo show in a partner gallery or museum. The residency is fully sponsored: No.name covers accommodation, studio space, a private kitchen, materials, promotion, exhibition setup, a printed publication, and even provides an airport shuttle. Artists are responsible for their own travel, visa fees and personal expenses. Applicants must be able to live independently, be in good physical and mental health, and agree to leave personal belongings (including artworks) upon departure unless otherwise arranged. A non‑refundable application fee of $25 is required. The program aims to foster creative exchange, offering mentorship, gallery opportunities, and inclusion in the No.name Studio Foundation collection.
