Memphis Calling – Bando pubblico per un progetto curatoriale di mostra
Kunstraum Memphis
Informazioni su Questa Opportunità
Kunstraum Memphis (Linz, Austria) opens its programme to external curatorial perspectives for the first time with Memphis Calling. Applicants are asked to propose a curatorial concept for an exhibition that will take place in the venue from mid‑January to the end of February 2027. The call is open to curators, artists and other cultural practitioners working curatorially, and submissions may be made by individuals, duos or collectives. Proposals are not required to focus on the applicants’ own artistic work. Selected concepts will be developed together with the Memphis team; an optional ten‑day working stay in Linz is offered with free accommodation. A project budget of up to €7,500 will cover the curatorial fee, artists’ fees, travel, transport, production, material and technical costs, following the Fair‑Pay recommendations of the Austrian Cultural Council. Memphis also provides exhibition spaces, technical and organisational support, design and production of printed materials, press and public‑relations, opening event organisation, and documentation for website and social media. Applications are submitted online via a dedicated form and must include a short description, a two‑page curatorial proposal (PDF), a list of proposed artists (if known), a representative image, a short CV, and references. The deadline is 25 October 2026 (23:59 CET); the decision will be announced by 15 November 2026.
