Corso intensivo di scrittura drammatica “Leap” – Arts Club Theatre

The Leap Playwriting Intensive (LEAP) is a free, full‑scholarship program run by the Arts Club Theatre in Vancouver, BC. Targeted at young people aged 16‑25 who live in the B.C. Lower Mainland, LEAP offers three levels of instruction: Level 1 for beginners (short‑form play), Level 2 for intermediate writers (one‑act play), and Level 3 for an advanced playwright (full‑length play). Participants receive mentorship from theatre professionals, weekly writing labs, rehearsal time, and the opportunity to have their work staged in public readings. The program is 100 % funded by donors and sponsors, so there is no cost to students; Level 3 applicants receive a $1,000 stipend to support dedicated writing time. Eligibility includes age and residency requirements, with equity‑deserving writers strongly encouraged. Applications are accepted online or via a downloadable Word form, and must include a writing sample appropriate to the chosen level. The deadline for the 2026‑2027 season is October 13, 2026, and the program runs from early November 2026 through March 2027.
