Bando internazionale – Exposure Photography Festival 2027

The Exposure Photography Festival’s International Open Call welcomes diverse and innovative submissions from photographers and visual artists around the world who incorporate, celebrate, or challenge the photographic medium within their practice. Artists may submit at least five images from a cohesive series, accompanied by a short artist statement. The submission fee is CAD 45 for up to five images (additional images CAD 5 each), with fee waivers available for artists facing economic hardship and free entry for creators from listed non‑high‑income countries. Selected artists will exhibit in the North West Showcase at TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary (February 2027) and on Pattison Outdoor digital billboards. Each exhibitor receives a CAD 50 production‑expense allocation, a 20 % discount with ABL Imaging Group, and extensive promotion through the festival’s website, social media, and print materials. The jury, led by Shana Lopes (Assistant Curator of Photography, SFMOMA) and other international experts, evaluates submissions on artistic strength, relevance, exhibition potential, and curatorial breadth. The call runs until 31 October 2026, with results announced in December 2026.
