Cibo: rituale e identità
Metchosin ArtPod
Informazioni su Questa Opportunità
Food: Ritual & Identity is an open call inviting artists to submit original works in any medium that investigate the many layers of food – from harvest to waste, celebration to scarcity – and its role in shaping personal and cultural identities. The exhibition will run from October 23 to December 20, 2026 at the Metchosin ArtPod Gallery in Victoria, British Columbia. All submissions are juried by independent juror Janice Beaudoin. Artists may submit up to three works, each accompanied by a 1,000‑word artist statement that will be reproduced in the exhibition book archived by Library and Archives Canada. The call is open to all artists, but works must be original, not previously shown in a juried exhibition or commercial gallery on southern Vancouver Island within the past year, and must comply with Canadian copyright law. Collaborative works must be submitted by a single artist. Accepted works incur a $20 booth (hanging) fee; all artworks must be for sale, with ArtPod retaining a 30% commission. The gallery provides promotion, an online exhibition gallery, an exhibition book, social‑media support, and a QR code linking to the artist’s website.
