The make‑a‑thek Mobility Scheme & Knowledge Exchange Programme invites craft, fashion, and technology practitioners to participate in a year‑long, rolling open call that culminates on 31 March 2027. The programme is split into two tracks:

• Mobility Scheme (Track A) – for experienced practitioners (make‑a‑thek experts). Participants travel to one of the EU pilot locations (Antwerp, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Helsinki, Kranj, Milan, Opole, Reykjavík, Kyiv, or Zaporizhzhia) to develop and deliver a workshop, talk, or hands‑on training. They receive a €1,000 stipend to cover travel, accommodation, materials, and time.

• Knowledge Exchange Programme (Track B) – for learners, makers, craftspeople, and librarians. Participants attend a 2‑day in‑person group meet‑up in either Barcelona or Berlin, learn new skills, and organise a local knowledge‑sharing activity. They receive a €850 stipend for travel and participation costs.

Eligibility requires legal residency in an EU Member State, a Horizon Europe associated country, or one of the international pilot countries (Ghana, South Africa, Indonesia, Philippines, Chile). Applicants must be craftspersons, fashion professionals, makers, or librarians, with the appropriate experience level for the chosen track.

The programme offers stipends, travel and accommodation support, and the opportunity to develop and share workshops or learning activities. Participants are expected to complete experience reports and, for Track B, a local knowledge‑sharing activity within a month of returning. The call is open on a rolling basis until the final deadline, with 12 places available per track each year.
